Workshop at the University of Tübingen on 30.01.2015
On 30.1.2015 the first so called »Doktoranden-Seminar« of TRR 141 took place in Tübingen. It is rather a »Transregio-Seminar« as all PI´s, post-docs, postgraduates were invited and most were present. Furthermore interested guests were welcome in the audience in the Hörsaal of the Lothar-Meyer-Bau, where the Applied Mineralogy was the host for this first event of a series to bring together the whole TRR every two months.
In the morning introductory talks of the PI´s of Tübingen (Profs. Klaus G. Nickel, James H. Nebelsick and Oliver Betz) were given before heading to the well known Museum of Plaeontology, where the TRR members were made acquainted by Prof. Nebelsick with the extensive collection and catered for with yummy Maultaschen from the www.esspunkt-tuebingen.de.
The afternoon was dedicated to lectures from all locations of the TRR, Stuttgart (A. Birkhold, A. Beike and I. Schäfer), Freiburg (G. Bauer and M. Caliaro) and Tübingen (C. Allgaier and M. Drack) and closed with time reserved for talks in small groups. All in all it was an inspiring start for the Seminars of TRR 141.
