Bionik @ Nobelpreisträgertagung 2016

Auf der Nobelpreisträgertagung 2016 wurden während der traditionell stattfindenden Schiffsfahrt sowohl das Kompetenznetz Biomimetik als auch der Transregio/SFB 141 von Prof. Dr. Thomas Speck und Dr. Olga Speck (Universität Freiburg) vorgestellt. Exemplarische Projekte waren die bionischen Fassadenverschattungen Flectofin^©, entwickelt nach dem Vorbild der Paradiesvogelblume, und Flectofold^©, inspiriert von der fleischfressenden Wasserfalle.

During the traditional boat trip of the 66th Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates 2016 the Competence Network Biomimetics and the Collaborative Research Center SFB-TRR 141 were presented by Prof. Dr. Thomas Speck and Dr. Olga Speck (University of Freiburg). Exemplary projects were he biomimetic façade shading systems Flectofin^©, based on the model plant bird-of-paradise, and Flectofold^© inspired by the carnivorous waterwheel plant.
